Scotch & Soda has had its ups and downs in recent years but latterly, under Bluestar Alliance, the Dutch brand has been back in expansion mode.
Its latest growth move is to continue its expansion in Germany and Austria with a series of new store openings in “vibrant cities and premium shopping destinations”. And that’s suggestive of further openings to come in other key European markets.
That means a presence in destinations “from bustling urban centres to renowned outlet hubs, these openings mark a significant step in the brand’s journey to bring its unique aesthetic to more customers”.
It has just opened a new outlet store Zweibrücken and in Hamburg is prepping for a debut at the Westfield Überseequartier, a prime spot in the city’s newest URW shopping mall. With the store fully prepared, “final details are being ironed out with the landlord to determine the opening date”.
April will also see an opening in Neumünster, where it will reopen its store at the McArthurGlen Outlet, and a new store on Heidelberg’s Hauptstrasse 44, one of the city’s key shopping streets.
Negotiations are also under way for a prime Berlin location in the heart of Mitte, close to the brand’s former store on Neue Schönhauser-Strasse. This new space, if confirmed, “will solidify Scotch & Soda’s presence in the capital’s thriving fashion scene”.
The company also opened in Cologne late last year on Ehrenstrasse 61-64. That followed a Zollergasse franchise location that opened in Vienna city centre in September and the Shopping City South location that debuted in November.
