Lids has launched a reinvented retail store concept across 20 stores nationwide.

The global sports retailer has reimagined the shopping experience with a modern layout, a significantly enhanced Custom Zone, and an expanded selection of localized and exclusive merchandise, all designed to put personalization at the core of the brand’s brick-and-mortar presence.
The first wave of redesigned locations includes high-profile stores in New York City, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston, and Minneapolis, among others. These first revamped stores serve as a blueprint for what’s to come, with Lids planning to refine and expand the concept in additional markets throughout 2025 and beyond.

"We're offering more ways for customers to make their gear uniquely theirs – whether it's stitching, patching, or curving. This rollout represents our commitment to a dynamic, customer-centric experience where every visit feels personal, engaging and tailored to each individual.”
At the center of the new concept is the upgraded Custom Zone offering shoppers even more personalization options for their hats and jerseys. It features interactive "Build-A-Cap" kiosks that let customers design their own hats in seconds. Finished designs are emailed with a barcode, which store staff scan to bring each creation to life. The kiosks also support bulk orders for non-licensed headwear.
Select stores also feature new hat-curving machines, bringing even more hands-on customization options to shoppers
Other updates include a curated “T-Shirt Wall” showcasing hyper-local and trend-driven apparel, a new Kids’ Corner with expanded youth selections, and a broader assortment of cap care and cleaning accessories to meet rising consumer demand.
