French fashion brand Maje has partnered with Archive for the launch of its resale platform in the United States.

Maje

Dubbed 'Maje Secondhand', the in-house peer-to-peer resale platform gives customers the ability to list their preloved Maje pieces alongside past season’s clothing for others to shop. Clients can either receive Maje credit to use online, or cash, in return for their archive pieces.

The resale site will launch October 16.

The SMCP-owned brand will also sell a curated selection of pre-loved clothing in their flagship store in New York City for a limited time, as part of the program launch.

“We are thrilled to be launching Maje Secondhand in the United States, following the European launch last year. This comes after the release of Maje Forward, our rental platform, and the Fairly Made global traceability program. Circular fashion is ingrained in the Maje DNA, and we look forward to Maje Secondhand being a part of our Dream Tomorrow commitment," Paul Griffin, CEO and president of SMCP North America.

Launched in 2025, resale technology firm Archive powers a wide range of customisable business models that make it easy for brands to launch and scale fully branded, profitable resale channels.

“We’re extremely proud to bring Maje Secondhand to the U.S., both online and in-store,” said Emily Gittins, CEO and co-founder of Archive.

“Our technology enables the brand to easily and continually customize its Secondhand program to offer new recommerce experiences for its customers, and we are excited that Maje will be offering select preloved items in the brand’s New York City flagship for the first time this month."

Founded in 1998 by Judith Milgrom, Maje is a French women's fashion brand that forms part of the Chinese-owned SMCP group, alongside fellow fashion brands Sandro, Claudie Pierlot, and Fursac.

Maje is now present in 40 countries with 620 points of sale worldwide.
