West African luxury womenswear and lingerie brand Torlowei has opened a pop-up at Harrods department store in Knightsbridge to introduce the brand’s ‘Torlowei is Art’ SS24 collection.

Housed in the lingerie and loungewear department of the store’s first floor, the space is a reflection of what founder and creative director Patience Torlowei calls the pillars of the brand, “colour, craftsmanship, creativity, and comfort”.

Pieces from the SS24 collection include classic silk satin with hand-embroidered French leavers’ lace Tokoni kaftans, camisoles and kimonos, the bestselling Okene shawls, and Jos silk padded houserobes, co-created and co-designed by her daughter, Mojisola Adegbile.

In addition to the pop-up, which win run until 15 March, Torlowei will host a series of exclusive events for key clientele and press “offering an opportunity for intimate interactions and insights into the brand's ethos and process”.

Torlowei said of the launch: “We want to use this pop-up to showcase the craftsmanship behind our pieces handcrafted by our skilled artisans in Africa -- Nigeria and Morocco.”

Mojisola Adegbile, Torlowei's CEO, added: “The collection is bolder and fresher than ever. We've kept our classic silhouettes but added vibrant new colours. Each piece is a handcrafted work of art so shoppers can expect a curated assortment of womenswear & lingerie, all designed to create versatile looks that can be enhanced by a range of elegant and practical accessories.”
