Long-defunct Pan Am, an airline with a reputation for stylish and comfortable cruisers, has announced a special 12-night return next summer—an individual ticket costs a whopping $65,500, with a slight discount for two. This amount includes “most food and beverages” and a free “goodie bag,” the website states.
From June 27 to July 9, 2025, you can “relive the golden age of travel”—and marvel at your skyrocketing credit card bill. Travel company Criterion will partner with the company for the nearly two-week intercontinental extravaganza.
The route includes flights from New York to Bermuda, Lisbon, Marseille, London, England and Foynes, and then back to the Big Apple.
Travelers will embark on an immersive tour aboard a Boeing 757-200 private charter jet in "full business class" that will include "upscale dining with continental cuisine and an open bar on all legs of the flight" as well as dedicated seats designed for "meeting/socialising" .
Guests will stay overnight at some of the best hotels each stop has to offer, from the Four Seasons Lisbon to New York's Waldorf-Astoria, where pre- and post-trip gala nights will be held.
Another pair of special stops will include an evening of fado music in Portugal and a luxurious dinner at the Irish Flying Ship and Maritime Museum. This is the only replica of Pan Am's Boeing 314 Clipper from the 1930s.
“Relaunching Pan Am requires a careful balance between respecting its storied past and innovating for the future,” said Pan American World Airways CEO Craig Carter.
The 2025 flight also appears to serve as a test run for Pan Am's plan to offer more luxurious travel in 2027 as part of the airline's centennial celebrations.
