In what looks to be a race to open new - and often bigger - stores ahead of the critical autumn/winter trading period, another UK shopping destination is announcing multiple signings.

The latest is Aquila Holdings, the landlord of premium shopping and leisure destination Bond Street in Chelmsford, Essex.
British womenswear brand Mint Velvet has just opened a 4,300 sq ft store the store “delivering a range of wardrobe staples”.
Home and body cosmetics company Rituals is set to open a 3,500 sq ft unit in early September, joining brands such as The White Company and L’Occitane. It will stock a range of “luxurious yet affordable” bath, body, and home products.
Completing the trio of retail signings is accessories brand Accessorize, with a 1,680 sq ft unit also opening this month.
Raquel Sanchez-Diaz, Director at the centre’s specialist real estate agency and consultancy, P-Three, said: “Rituals, Mint Velvet, Accessorize openings… are a great indication of how the destination is performing as the region’s premium shopping and leisure destination. Bond Street has built its line-up to cater to that demand, and that’s why premium brands perform so well here.”
Dominic Chambers, Managing Director of Aquila Holdings, added: “So soon after the openings of Charles Tyrwhitt, Sweaty Betty and Leon… leasing demand has been excellent and demonstrates the resilience of Chelmsford as a prime retailing city.”
