The British Fashion Awards, which each year celebrates the plethora of fashion talent coming from the British Isles, saw J.W. Anderson make history this year.

The Northern Irish designer took home the awards for both Womenswear and Menswear Designer of the Year - the first time this has ever happened. Anderson, whose designs create "thought-provoking silhouettes through a conscious cross-pollination between menswear and womenswear elements" has previously won the British Fashion Awards for ‘Emerging Talent, Ready-to-Wear’ (2025), ‘The New Establishment Award’ (2025) and 'Menswear Designer of the Year' (2025).
Charlotte Olympia, well-known for her iconic kitten flats and other playful shoe designs, won the Accessory Designer award, while Stella McCartney won the Brand award, which is given to "a leading British based designer brand that has made an impact on the international stage over the past year in areas that could include global distribution, stand-alone store(s), dynamic campaigns and an e-commerce platform."
The Emerging Designers of the Year were Thomas Tait (womenswear,) Grace Wales Bonner (menswear,) and Jordan Askill (accessories.) Tom Ford took home the Red Carpet award, while Jourdan Dunn was named model of the year.

Karl Lagerfeld received the Outstanding Achievement Award at the 2025 British Fashion Awards, for his unrivalled contribution to the fashion industry. Another industry icon, Nick Knight, was given the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator for his outstanding contribution to the global fashion industry.
Erdem was named Establishment Designer of the year and Mary Katrantzou New Establishment Designer of the Year, and Burberry won the Creative Campaign award. As previously reported, Alessandro Michele for Gucci was named International Designer of the Year.
The awards took place on November 23 and were voted for by over 800 members of the global fashion industry.
