It’s been some time since the Karen Millen label graced a Selfridges’ hanger in its former privately-owned heyday. But the now-online brand owned by Boohoo is returning in partnership with rental brand Hurr.

“Helping [Hurr] take its next steps in its rental expansion”, the partnership has launched in-store to rent at Selfridges ‘ London flagship. Karen Millen is also now live on John Lewis’s rental site.

“Customers will be able to discover sell-out pieces in person, try on and rent their favourites - just in time for the party season”, their joint statement read.

Karen Millen marketing director Natasha Hackett said: “We’re proud to have expanded our offerings to create a new way for customers to discover Karen Millen as well as an opportunity for customers to experience the product in real life in Selfridges. We look forward to seeing how our rental service continues to develop.”

In March, Karen Millen made aa brief return to physical retail  via a temporary pop-up London store, its first since its takeover by Boohoo Group.

Since the Boohoo Group ownership, Karen Millen’s made a feature of collaborations as demand for occasion and careerwear in which it specialises has risen. Its most recent clothing collab was with the label’s founder, Karen Millen herself.

As mentioned, Hurr has been busy of late, striking a deal with Deliveroo for a first-of-its-kind partnership to bring luxury and premium fashion dresses to customers’ London doors within 20 minutes, linking up with Club L London’s occasionwear for rent both online and at Hurr’s Selfridges Oxford Street pop-up space, and  becoming the exclusive rental partner for Cecilie Bahnsen.
