Barbour is set to unveil its first standalone Leeds store this autumn, taking up residence in the the Victoria Leeds mall to showcase the premium outdoor brand’s new heritage design concept.

The 2,679 sq ft two-floor store on Victoria Quarter’s King Edward Street will become the first such concept outside of London, showcasing its heritage menswear and womenswear collections.
The store’s design will also complement and enhance the character and heritage of the Grade II listed unit, we’re told, presenting an “industrial yet refined space that nods to the brand’s craftsmanship”.
It will join the the destination’s premium cluster of British brands including Vivienne Westwood, Mulberry, Boodles and Penhaligons, “cementing Victoria Leeds’ position as a leading UK retail destination and showcasing its ability in attracting best-in-class brand debuts”.
Rachel Bradburn, Leasing Director at the location, commented: “Victoria Leeds has always been a home for leading British and independent brands but since Redical’s new ownership, we've seen a significant shift.
“Our impressive performance so far this year, coupled with the arrival of prestigious brands like Barbour… exemplifies this momentum. This latest signing is yet another example of [it] being the destination of choice for high calibre brands seeking a premium location with a proven loyal customer base.”
This summer will also see the opening of contemporary demi-fine jewellery brand Missoma with its second permanent UK flagship at the centre. The 2,250 sq ft Victoria Quarter boutique becomes its regional flagship outside of London, stocking the brand’s collections, mostly in gold and silver, while others are handcrafted with conflict-free diamonds, emeralds, baroque pearls, and blue sapphires.
