Leading North East retail destination Metrocentre is set add one major retailer and welcome another’s upgrade to its expansive roster. Footwear retailer Clarks and lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret are joining the centre’s Green Mall location.
Victoria’s Secret will be relocating this summer with the international brand widening its assortment of intimate apparel, beauty products, and sleepwear within a new 5,411 sq ft space, adjacent to Next.
Daniel Cook, Head of Retail at Victoria’s Secret, said: “Metrocentre has always been an important destination within our portfolio.”
Meanwhile, Clarks will open a new 3,619 sq ft unit in May. The new store will be in the brand’s ‘modern workshop’ format, “delivering a contemporary new look”.
It will combine Clarks’ “architectural heritage and vision for the future”, cemented by in-store activations, events, and services for a multi-faceted brand experience.
Both brands join the recently refurbished Goldsmiths and Ann Summers brands in Green Mall “showcasing the strength and appeal of the [location] following significant investment by both the landlord and retailers”, said owner/operator Sovereign Centros/CBRE.
