Joules has gone back to its roots by hosting the first in a series of live digital shopping events, debuting across the UK Thursday evening (11 April).

The Next-owned fashion and lifestyle brand staged the first event in partnership with live shopping solution provider Sprii, that “harks back to how we started 35 years ago”, said Joules head of marketing Kyla Lyford.

Joules said it aims to present key events in the coming months, mirroring how it started out in 1989.

But it's not all about looking back and Lyford said the live event with Sprii “takes us into the social commerce space and moves the brand into the digital realm”

She added: “Sprii’s technology fits our brand and marketing activation ambitions, and is a great opportunity for us to connect with our customers directly – in an authentic way... promoted ourselves with in-person, live experiences at country shows across the UK”.

The launch comes as parent Next said it is making progress to relaunch Joules in October instead of March 2025. That includes the delivery of Total Platform (TP) system that will now be “significantly wider” than the website, warehousing, distribution, contact centre, online advertising and retail services that comprise the regular TP offer.
