London Fashion Week wrapped up its Spring/Summer 2025 season this week, after a five-day program replete with striking hair and makeup looks. We take stock of the catwalk beauty trends.

The wet look

Wet-look hair and makeup has been trending on the catwalks for years, but the concept remained popular in London this season. Victoria Beckham led the way with a look that centered on gelled hair and glossy lips, while Christopher Kane combed the models' slick hair back into low ponytails and used lashings of highlighter to create the appearance of shiny skin. There were dewy complexions at Burberry and Chalayan, too.

Going outside the lines

Bold eyeliner remained a staple look for the London-based designers, with Fashion East offering up a chunky, grungy twist on the trend. at At Matty Bovan, the look was amplified by lenses that magnified the models' features, while at Halpern, bleached brows and thick, winged eyeliner made a strong impact.

Big hair

Voluminous, vertical hair was a key beauty trend in London this season: at one end of the scale was Julien Macdonald, whose 'Julien x Gabriela' presentation featured tumbling waves and glamorous blow-outs, and at the other was Yuhan Wang, whose structural wigs in horizontal shapes bordered on the abstract. Towering hairstyles in colorful hues also made an impact at Fyodor Golan.
