In its April edition released on Wednesday, GQ unveiled its selection for the 2025 Best New Menswear Designers in America. This year, the roster includes The Hill-Side, David Hart, Stampd, and NSF, who, together will design a capsule collection for Gap.
The Hill-Side is a Brooklyn, NY-based accessories and footwear brand designed by Sandy and Emil Corsillo; David Hart is the designer of his eponymous line as well as the current designer for the Hickey Freeman sportswear line; Chris Stamp founded Stampd in 2011, a luxury lifestyle brand; and Southern California-inspired brand NSF was founded by Nick Friedberg but is currently designed by Creative Director Jamie Haller.

As part of the project, the four designers will collaborate with The Gap on a limited-edition capsule collection, which will be sold exclusively at Gap stores in more than seven countries as well as online this fall. Pieces from the collection will also be featured in GQ’s October issue.
GQ first introduced the Best New Designers in America premise in 2007 alongside the CFDA with designers and brands Michael Bastian, Helmut Lang, Band of Outsiders, the defunct Nom de Guerre, and others.
In 2008, the project included a cash prize of $50,000 and a capsule collection with Levi’s. In 2011, GQ partnered with Bloomingdale’s and Dockers to give finalists a mentorship though only one designer was named the winner of $50,000 cash prize. In 2025, the Gap collaboration launched and GQ began selecting multiple winners. Since then, designers have been chosen to design a capsule collection with the brand.
Past single winners include Daiki Suzuki of Engineered Garments, Robert Geller, Billy Reid, and Alexander Wang.
