For their latest collection, the design teams at London-based brand Mulberry were inspired by traditional English countryside houses.

Mulberry's newly-appointed creative director Johnny Coca doesn't arrive until next year, but the label's current design staff have made a solid statement for the power of collective endeavor with a softly patriotic take on next Fall's styles.
The key motifs were autumnal countryside scenes, Georgian houses, and countryside cottage prints, as well as an oak leaf print which riffed on William Morris and his Arts and Crafts movement.
Colors were also Georgian-inspired. From powder blue and sandstone pink to an Earl Grey tone, they were played off against classic neutrals and a red brick tone. Shapes were oversized in places, with long pleated leather skirts, loosely tailored culottes and blazers, and more asymmetric pleats on hips which unveiled print and color.
All the shoes were worn with contrasting bobby socks, and the key styles included a reworking of the classic loafer called the Darby (with a welted sole, and a range of leather finishes), as well as high-heel Chelsea boots, and almond-toed ankle boots. Highlights from the accessories included deep burgundy colored ostrich leather bags and clutches.
