After opening its first global flagship in Paris’s Marais district in March, French luxury label Lemaire headed for South Korea, where it recently opened a first store in the country’s vibrant capital, Seoul.

Lemaire’s new Seoul showcase is nestled inside a former private residence from the 1970s, in the heart of the Hannam district, and extends over 230 square metres on two levels.
The store is set within a garden and is surrounded by a brick wall. The interiors, where beige hues, reminiscent of sand and wood, predominate, have been designed by Lemaire and South Korean architect Lim Taehee of LTH studio.
“The new boutique has a domestic feel that blurs the boundaries between home and store, in harmony with our collections, whose products aim to enrich everyday life,” said Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran, the label’s co-founders.
The store’s atmosphere is confidential. The walls are upholstered with Hanji paper, made from the inner bark of the mulberry tree. Upstairs, the rooms are decorated with quilted Nubi curtains and lacquered furniture.
The interiors also feature furniture designed by Enzo Mari and produced using local wood, as well as abaca rugs and Dr Freud-style sofas, all of them signature Lemaire elements.
The store showcases the label’s latest Fall/Winter 2025 collection, alongside items from a collaboration with Italian leather goods brand Il Bussetto, exclusive to the Seoul store.
Lemaire’s new store has been opened in partnership with South Korean conglomerate Samsung.
