Miniso is moving into 2025 at a similar pace to a busy 2025 with news of yet another UK store opening. The Chinese lifestyle and novelty retailer has chosen the Liberty Romford shopping centre, owned and operated by Redical, for its next retail adventure
The new 2,270 sq ft store will open this spring, following a successful pop-up activation that launched in December.
The global retailer will provide customers its immersive mix of shopping experiences with its “distinctive blend of fun, affordable and trend products”
Collections feature Hello Kitty and Friends, including Cinnamoroll and My Melody and Disney, including characters Lilo and Stitch, It will also feature the newly launched Harry Potter range alongside everyday beauty, lifestyle and trend-driven pop culture items.
Redical claims The Liberty Romford holds the position as “the number one London satellite shopping centre for retail spend opportunity, amounting to £247 million” and this was a “key strategic reasoning behind Miniso’s impending arrival there.
The new store will be located in the centre of the scheme overlooking Liberty Square, “capitalising on its strong annual footfall of 13.4 million and high dwell time”.
Daniel Tucker, Leasing Manager at The Liberty Romford said: “Miniso has a clear vision of expansion, which [we] can contribute greatly to. [The brand] epitomises an engaged and dynamic shopping experience, qualities which are equally embedded in our own customer journey and as such, this latest signing marks an exciting moment.”
The latest signing follows the centre’s recent opening of beauty and wellbeing brand, Rituals, joining anchor brands Primark, Marks and Spencer, Next, Flannels and H&M.
