A busy end to 2025 for new store openings has flipped into a busy January for Rituals as the fast-expanding beauty & wellbeing brand continues its expansion programme on two fronts.

Mall manager and operator Sovereign Centros has announced new additions to its Festival Place, Basingstoke, and Merry Hill, West Midlands assets.

At the former, Rituals has opened a 3,300 sq ft unit. The latter store, positioned among the destination’s luxury watch and jewellery brands, spans 2,000 sq ft of the former Phase Eight unit, following the womenswear retailer's relocation into an upsized unit last year.

The Dutch retailer is selling its collection of bodycare, skincare and home fragrance products from its The Ritual of Sakura collection as well as home items, gift sets, and a range of bath and body products.

Like all its UK and Ireland stores, the Festival Place and Merry Hill units also have a refillable products capability, in-line with B-Corp certification, fitted within Rituals’ latest store design.

Earlier this month Rituals opened its first outlet store in Scotland at the Caledonia Park Designer Outlet in Gretna. And in the final third of 2025 it opened stores in Northern Ireland’s retail and leisure destination Victoria Square in Belfast in December, becoming the brand’s largest UK store, as well as in the Ashford designer Outlet in Kent in November, Atria Watford in October, and Chelmsford’s Bond Street in September.

Jack Gordon, Senior Asset Manager at Sovereign Centros, said of the latest openings: “Securing [this] brand… at both destinations showcases the value we place on partnering with retailers, helping them to achieve their vision and supporting their growth in locations that match their aspirational demographic. They add a unique, luxury shopping environment wherever they are, so it’s fantastic for Festival Place’s and Merry Hill’s visitors to now be able to experience that.”

Sovereign Centros has also said both Merry Hill and Festival Place “have reported significant performance uplifts over the course of 2025”, owing to proactive leasing and asset management, and “secured sales and footfall increases significantly above UK benchmark figures”.
