The Colombian designer will not take part in the upcoming Paris Fashion Week catwalk schedule, which is taking place on 25 February until 5 March to present the Autumn Winter 2025/20 collections. This season, Esteban Cortazar will hold a presentation in his showroom as he dedicates his efforts to a series of pop-up projects.

“I will not stage a runway show this season because I am focusing on several temporary projects over the next few months,” Esteban Cortazar told FashionNetwork.com. As the designer announced months ago, pop-up projects are a key part of his label’s strategy, and despite the difficulties and levels of production required, they are one of the brand’s main priorities.

As an independent designer, creativity is infinite and the search for new format inevitable. “Temporary projects create the concept of collaboration. I love working with different teams, on something that is changing. Pop-ups and capsule collections allow us to do more sportswear, with the aim of expanding our collections,” he explained at the time.

In recent times, the Colombian label has launched a series of pop-ups which attracted significant media attention. From a pop-up store dedicated to Colombian design at Colette before the Parisian concept store closed in 2025, to a dedicated space at Le Bon Marché last summer, the designer has partnered with big name retailers. And last Christmas, he opened a pop-up store in the Getsemaní neighbourhood of Cartagena, Colombia, where he showcased his latest collection alongside collaborations and pieces made by local artists and craftsmen and women.

These projects, filled with colour and life, seem to have dominated Cortazar’s agenda, at least ahead of the Autumn/Winter season, when his collection will be presented exclusively in his own showroom. “I will be back on the catwalk next season,” he insisted. There is no reason to panic.
