A new play by renowned Armenian actor and screenwriter Eric Bogosian, '1+1,' will premiere off-Broadway at SoHo Playhouse, The Blackbox and SoHo Playhouse reported. Performances will begin Feb. 23 and run through March 19. The premiere is scheduled for Feb. 27.
'1+1' is about how the modern woman can still rise and fall to satisfy her man's whims. The heroine of the play is an actress living in Los Angeles who seems to make an innocent choice that, however, causes her to fall into the world of Internet pornography. His fate involves two men who seem very unlike each other, but actually have more in common than meets the eye.
"It may seem like a play about Internet pornography and the story of just one woman, but with this I want to give a deeper understanding of the responsibility in which two people share the blame for doing bad things. I want the audience to look at this situation through the eyes of the three characters. I want them to be interested in what they will see on stage," Bogosian said.
Directed by Matt Okin, 1+1 features Michael Gardiner, Katie North, and Daniel Yaiullo reprising their roles from the New Jersey production
