Technical high-performance outerwear and equipment brand Arc’teryx is to open its first UK store outside London, located on Manchester’s New Cathedral Street.
Opposite the popular Manchester Arndale mall, the brand’s general manager of EMEA, Sven Radtke, said the city flagship opening “serves as a launchpad for [the region’s] outdoor enthusiasts.
“[Manchester’s] proximity to diverse natural landscapes makes it a gateway to the outdoors and a haven for hiking, climbing and other activities. Our goal is to help our core communities get out, doing what they love, equipped with the most high-performance gear to reach their goals.”
Designed to “immerse visitors in Arc’teryx’s product innovation and technology”, the new store is part of a broader UK expansion strategy that already includes a flagship in Covent Garden stores plus other key London stores in Battersea Power Station and on Piccadilly.
The new store will aim to echo the brand’s global retail direction, namely prioritising product education, physical interaction, and durability.
