Hermès has reopened the doors of its renovated and expanded store in The Gardens Mall, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Almost a decade after the opening of the original, this second location boasts a spacious new design concept, inviting customers to explore the house's sixteen métiers in a setting that celebrates both natural elements and traditional craftsmanship, while bringing out the authenticity of the local culture.
Located on the ground floor of The Gardens Mall, the renovated store features a striking façade crafted from an intricate amalgamation of bamboo and cane, reminiscent of traditional local weaving techniques. With two entrances, inside, natural light floods the space, accentuating the curved walls and recessed ceiling lights that guide guests through each métier. Elements of traditional Malaysian architecture, such as distinct flooring and partitions, further enrich the ambiance.
Designed by the architectural agency RDAI in Paris, visitors begin with the silk universe at the main entrance, followed by the perfume and beauty area, adorned with ombré lacquered wood, which lead to homeware collections. A central lounge connects spaces dedicated to leather goods, equestrian accessories, and jewelry. The ready-to-wear section, situated at the rear of the store, is complemented by two fitting rooms.
Completing the space are pieces from the Émile Hermès collection, alongside contemporary works by renowned artists such as Paul Fleury and Thierry Ardouin. For the reopening, a special window display featuring hand-made puppets reimagines traditional Malaysian theatre, adding a modern twist to Hermès' 2025 theme 'In the Spirit of the Faubourg'.
