Dublin mall Dundrum Town Centre “continues to attract high-profile brands, new concepts and market firsts”. And the latest news on this front includes a bigger JD Sports and a new Space NK added to the mix.

Operator Hammerson has signed JD Sports to an upgrade creating one of the sportswear brand’s largest stores in Ireland with a 22,000 sq ft-plus unit.
James Air, Director, Head of Group Acquisitions at JD said: “Hammerson has been an important partner to us. The quality of its schemes and people has undoubtedly allowed our partnership to flourish, especially with its ongoing commitment to reinvesting and evolving the assets to introduced new brands, alongside improved social and entertainment offers.”
Meanwhile, premium UK beauty retailer Space NK is also set to join the centre with its second Ireland store as the brand expands its footprint in the country following its inaugural site on Grafton Street. The store will feature its star brands including Rare Beauty, Kosas and Tatcha.
“The new store demonstrates the appeal of Dundrum Town Centre and is reflective of Hammerson’s wider strategy to attract new audiences with in-demand brands, social and entertainment offers”, the property giant said.
Dundrum Town Centre has been working on a major upgrade (to be completed in spring 2025) repurposing over 200,000 sq ft of space. That has so far included the introduction of the first ever Nike Live in Ireland, Penneys’ (or Primark in other markets) new 80,000 sq ft flagship store as well as new Dunnes Stores and Skechers.
Supported by a series of activations, cultural programmes and events, it said that repositioning has so far generated an increase in footfall of 3.3% and sales up 1.5% year-on-year in 2025.
Connor Owens, Managing Director, Asset Management (Ireland), said: “The last 12 months have been transformative for Dundrum Town Centre, as we repositioned more than 15% of the footprint, introducing new uses and high-profile brands to shift the perception and purpose of the destination. The signing of Space NK alongside a new and expanded JD Sports demonstrates that our investment and strategic approach is delivering tangible results.”
He added: “This investment has seen us attract the very best global brands, and this has resulted in a significant uptick in footfall and sales across our portfolio. There is more to come, and we are focused on a proactive high quality, diverse and complementary mix for both our occupiers and customers.”
Hammerson also said international independent real estate analysts Green Street has upgraded Dundrum Town Centre to A++ “for the quality of its occupier mix, connectivity, competitiveness and overall build, making it the only retail destination in Ireland to achieve this rating”.
