While Gap Inc. announced last March that between 50 and 55 Gap and Banana Republic stores in North America would close, a new Banana Republic store has just opened at 8585 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Formerly occupied by All Saints, the 3,000-square-foot store, originally planned as a one-year pop-up, showcases the clothing collections in a raw concrete décor around a large central lounge illuminated by suspended lights. On the walls are XXL-format, black and white photographs of dunes and desert landscapes, and customers can also get a margarita or white wine from the backlit bar.
On the racks, Banana Republic displays a wide variety of modern, versatile classics from business attire to everyday essentials for men and women, as well as shoes and accessories.
Just across the street, in the 4,400-square-foot space where Cartier held its "Clash Unlimited Exhibition" in 2025, the San Francisco-based retailer will inaugurate its first boutique exclusively dedicated to home collections this September.

Officially launched last March, the BR home collection will include timeless pieces such as rugs made in Morocco, linens sourced from Italian factories, fringed cushions with a bohemian look, pillows using Malian crafting methods, all inspired by travel and artisanal techniques.
Banana Republic is now present in Los Angeles via nine stores.
