Hammerson is set to open a raft of new retailers at its Cabot Circus mall in Bristol. As part of the commercial property giant’s vision “to create a new beauty quarter and strengthen the fashion offering at Cabot Circus”, six brands will open their doors in SS23.

They include H&M and H&M Home, Zebel Bespoke plus beauty brands Lush and Rituals and jeweller Goldsmiths.

Cabot Circus will welcome a new upsized H&M and Bristol’s first H&M Home, set to open just in time for the summer. The mall's menswear offer is also being strengthened with the addition of London-based tailored suits specialists Zebel Bespoke.

Meanwhile, Lush will relocate from Broadmead to a new and bigger 3,500 sq ft store closely followed by luxury wellbeing brand Rituals opening this month.

Goldsmiths, which opened this spring, will be complemented by the arrival of parent brand Watches of Switzerland as the premium timepiece specialist continues its expansion in the UK and Europe.

The openings come as the UK’s key malls continue to attract big-name retailers, smaller stores and flagship developments, even though some areas of physical retail main challenged.

It’s all in line with a pre-pandemic prediction by GlobalData that so-called super malls will attract a disproportionately large number of the retailers seeking new store space.
