"The whole industry knows." Words spoken by designer Calvin Klein in a radio interview last week this month week, regarding the arrival of the unknown creative director set to join the brand he founded. The name cannot by announced, however, as the creative is still under contract, he revealed.
No name revealed, and so doubt still remains... Even if everybody in the industry thinks it will be Raf Simons, who is under contract with Christian Dior until the end of July.
For some time, Simon has been slated to replace Francisco Costa and Italo Zuchelli, who were in charge of Calvin Klein's women's and menswear, respectively.
Calvin Klein is pleased to welcome the arrival of a true creative director who will oversee all collectons, as he did in the past. Klein looks to manifest a guaranteed quality for the luxury brand which carries his name.
It will be several weeks of waiting until the suspense is lifted, however. Unless the announcement comes before New York fashion week in early September.
