Boohoo Group has been diving deeper into the beauty sector and its PrettyLittleThing brand has just announced a key partnership on the hair front.

Mark Hill

It’s growing its at-home hair offer via a partnership with the Mark Hill brand.

It will list Mark Hill Hair products, including the best-selling Pick ‘N’ Mix range, following the end of the brand’s exclusivity deal with high street retailer Boots. That range is built on a hot air styler tool handle that has over 20 different attachments available “to create salon-quality looks at home”.

PLT is the first online stockist outside of Boots to offer Mark Hill Hair products, following the haircare brand signing a non-exclusive contract with the high street stalwart. It means the brand is able to sell its products via other online retailers for the first time in 20 years.

As a result, it’s targeting a wider audience — the PLT 16-41 year-old customer is ideal here — “and expects to grow its share of the at-home market”.

Mark Hill Hair MD Leanne Heath said the PLT brand “aligns closely with our target market. We share the same creative direction and can work together to create head-to-toe looks that complement each item they sell. Together there are endless opportunities to develop our products, stand out and turn heads”.

The PLT link-up should also benefit from the recently launched Mark Hill Hair out-of-home (OOH) advertising campaign with Love Island’s Chloe Burrows. This featured on billboards, buses and ad vans across London and Nottingham and showcased the brand’s new jumbo waver curling wand, playing on the fact “that the brand’s styling tools are often mistaken as sex toys”.
