US label Woolrich John Rich & Bros. and The Woolmark Company, the international body that promotes Australian wool worldwide, have joined forces to celebrate wool through Jackie Nickerson's photography exhibition 'The Woolrich Mill: tradition and future of wool'.

The exhibition will be on show at Woolrich stores worldwide to mark the launch of the label's new Merino Wool Arctic Parka. It tells the story of a journey through the USA's oldest vertical wool mill, discovering its machinery, its looms and its historical archives.
The new, limited edition Merino Wool Arctic Parka was created using the innovative 100% Merino Storm System by Loro Piana, which ensures the highest levels of performance and quality, making the best of the natural properties of wool. The Storm System fabric combines in fact the natural features of merino wool (breathability, resistance, softness and suppleness) with the Rain System water-proof treatment and with an exclusive hydrophilic membrane, which is breathable and resistant to both wind and water.
The exhibition showcasing the historic Pennsylvania woollen mill will premiere at Milan's WP store on Thursday 3rd November, and will then travel to London, Berlin, Amsterdam, New York and Tokyo.
The Woolmark Company is controlled by Australian Wool Innovation, a not-for-profit enterprise owned by over 24,000 sheep farmers, which invests in R&D and marketing across the entire wool supply chain. Woolrich John Rich & Bros is distributed in 45 countries and operates 19 mono-brand stores worldwide.
