London's outlet centres continue to outperform and two of the key destinations in the UK have announced extremely successful Black Friday periods.

London Designer Outlet

Wembley Park’s London Designer Outlet (LDO) said it saw the highest sales for Black Friday week in its 10-year history, exceeding the previous record by 8.6%.

And Outlet Shopping at the O2 in Greenwich, South London, said its Black Friday weekend sales figures beat last year’s by 27%.

Looking first at LDO, last month’s sales were the best November on record for the second year in a row, surpassing £9 million, and Black Friday week saw footfall surging by 8.1% compared to 2025 (and beating a wider high street rise of 1.6%).

The menswear category performed particularly well, with a 123.4% increase in sales. And the outdoor and footwear categories were also strong with 37.6% and 30.2% increases on 2025, respectively.

Matt Slade, Retail Director at operator Quintain, said the success was partly down to consumers seeking deals in the cost-of-living crisis, but also because of the location’s big brands.

The 10-year-old destination includes labels such as The North Face, Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Boss, Guess, Kurt Geiger, Adidas, Nike, Puma, and more.

Brands are also key to Outlet Shopping at The O2 and the centre has just announced the opening of the previously flagged Under Armour store there.

It’s the brand’s first outlet store in London and has opened near anchor stores and fellow sportswear retailers, Nike, New Balance and Adidas.

Designed under the label’s new Factory House retail concept, and stocking a wide selection of sportswear apparel, footwear and accessories, the opening is yet another prominent addition to the destination’s evolving retail offer after multiple openings/upsizings (such as Carvela, Tommy Hilfiger, and a number of beauty stores) this year.

The Under Armour debut coincided with the strong Black Friday weekend, as mentioned. That 27% sales uplift also came with fashion sales overall that were up 32% and homewares sales that were up an astonishing 62%.
