Canada's Nobis Inc. has announced a new joint venture with Chinese multi-brand fashion group Shenzhen Ellassay Fashion Co., as the luxury outerwear brand looks to ramp up its global expansion strategy.

The joint venture will see Nobis leverage Ellassay's knowledge of the Chinese market, local distribution network, and brand-building capabilities. Specifically, Ellassay will help Nobis open its first physical retail locations within China, with a focus on creating immersive retail experiences, expanding to the regions of Hong Kong and Macau also.

A leading fashion company in China, Ellassay's brand portfolio includes Self-Portrait, Iro, Laurèl and Ed Hardy.

The news follows Nobis' launching of a peer-to-peer resale program in late 2025, allowing North American shoppers to resell their Nobis products.
