Lone Design Club (LDC) “the platform that celebrates independent designers” has linked up with UK department store Fenwick.

Running from 12 September to 16 October, the LDC x Fenwick store-in-store pop-up will create an immersive space within Fenwick’s London, Bond Street store, which is due to close next year.
With an “unwavering focus on sustainability”, the pop-up will feature “an array of independent designer pieces, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking events that seamlessly blend creativity with conscious consumption”.
“Lone Design Club, like Fenwick, has always been at the forefront of nurturing emerging designers, reshaping the retail landscape, and propelling sustainability into the mainstream. Paired with Fenwick's ambitious vision for the future, this partnership is poised to be an exciting example of the wonder of collective ingenuity”, LDC said.
LDC founder Rebecca Morter, added: "Our collaboration with Fenwick is a testament to the power of unity within the fashion world. By merging the essence of Lone Design Club's innovation with Fenwick's legacy, we're creating an experience that truly reflects the dynamism of independent design.”
Fenwick’s Head of Brand and Community, Leo Fenwick, also said, “[We have] always prided [ourselves] in looking to the future by embracing change to guarantee a more sustainable and innovative customer experience. This collaboration with Lone Design Club… is the latest in a long line of ethical and responsible business initiatives.”
Now into its third year, LDC has been successful in taking advantage of securing a number of prime sites across the UK by partnering with landlords to “reactivate empty retail spaces” on a temporary basis.
Its most notable partnerships have included sites on London’s South Molton Street, Cardiff’s St David’s Shopping Centre, Trinity in Leeds, Bart’s Square in London’s Farringdon, The Glades in Bromley and Islington Square in north London.
Morter added: “We’re seeing such a positive impact of these collaborations with massive estates. We hope to demonstrate to other independents that landlords are open to new, more creative ways of working. And that these fantastic locations are possible for independent brands”.
