The first model ever to take to the runway without a prosthetic returns to NYFW on Thursday as brand ambassador for Global Disability Inclusion (GDI).

This year will mark the fifth in succession that GDI has partnered with FTL Moda to create a show where models with disabilities take to the runway to show that fashion is all-inclusive.

"Being a part of NYFW is a dream come true for any model, especially a model who is different. I am honored to be involved with Global Disability Inclusion and FTL Moda, and to help the world see people with disabilities should be recognized for their accomplishments and not their disability," said Ayers.

And while Ayers is a veteran of fashion week, this year's show will mark the runway debuts for Jude Hass and Chelsea Werner.

Hass's appearance will make him the first young man with Downs Syndrome to walk in NYFW; while Werner is a Paralympics gymnastics gold medalist.
