The famous Italian F1 team Ferrari has chosen two prestigious sponsors at the start of the year. In quick succession, the team has just announced partnerships with fashion house Giorgio Armani and Swiss watchmaker Richard Mille.

Milan-based brand Giorgio Armani has signed a multi-year agreement with Scuderia Ferrari, “to sponsor and to supply official and travel clothing to its management, drivers, and technical team,” said the business. “The clothing is designed to be worn at official events and at transfers linked to the Formula One Grand Prix.”
“Now more than ever, we must unite as a system to promote Italian excellence by creating a synergistic dialogue between the different disciplines,” said fashion designer and entrepreneur Giorgio Armani in a statement.
“Ferrari is a world famous symbol of Italy and I am proud of this collaboration,” said Armani. “I have created an elegant collection of clothing for the racing drivers to wear on their travels, with the hope that we can all get back on the road, ready to revive our country, all together.”
The Swiss watchmaking brand, co-founded in 2001 by its French namesake Richard Mille, has also signed a multi-year partnership with Scuderia Ferrari. The brand takes over from Ferrari’s previous watch sponsor Hublot, a brand of the LVMH Group.
As part of the partnership, Richard Mille will become a sponsor of the Ferrari F1 team as well as in the WEC endurance championships, the GT and Ferrari Challenge competitions, and the Ferrari Driver Academy races incorporating the Esport category.
In addition, Richard Mille’s designers and engineers will work closely with Ferrari teams to develop a collection of limited edition watches.
