Qatar Airways is offering its Business Class passengers a major upgrade with the Qsuite Next Gen, according to Robb Report.
While many consider the existing Business Class seats to be among the best in the industry, Qatar Airways is making them even better by offering additional amenities such as larger beds, movable displays, and a turndown service.
“We are delighted to finally unveil the highly anticipated Qsuite Next Gen at the Farnborough International Airshow,” said Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Qatar Airways Group CEO. “Qatar Airways has once again raised the bar for its award-winning Qsuite product.”
The most notable change to Qsuite may be the addition of movable 4K OLED Panasonic Astrova IFE screens, allowing professionals to work more efficiently while flying. This is the first time any carrier has offered such a service. Screens can be pushed aside to create what the airline calls “the largest social and productive space in the sky.”
One of the best parts of flying may be the extra room to sleep, making it easier to fall asleep while traveling. Qsuite is adding larger flat-bed and king-size beds to its Quad Suites, and its turndown service includes a “make my bed” feature so you don’t have to deal with rumpled sheets when you wake up.
Companion Suites, meanwhile, are now even more like Quad Suites, offering a communal space in the aisles by the windows. Across all Qsuites, new technology and upgraded touchscreen controls let you personalize your journey with options like ambient lighting and privacy controls.
While frequent flyers are likely eager to try out Qsuite Next Gen, they’ll have to wait until next year—that’s when Qatar Airways will begin rolling out the new offering on its Boeing B777-9 aircraft.
