British luxury brand A Cold Wall (ACW) has entered South Korea's retail landscape on February 24 with the launch of its first Seoul shop-in-shop, in partnership with Korean distributor Modern Works.. A second Seoul location will bow in March.

Located on the third floor of Hyundai COEX, part of the Seoul department store's 'International Designer Boutique' division, the inaugural store-in-store measures 60 square metres and brings to Korea the label’s "fundamental tenets of culture and community", mixed with the industrial design background of Samuel Ross, the brand's founder and designer.
Referencing familiar modernist principles, modularity and system-based design as the driving forces behind its distinctive architecture, the Hyundai store-in-store is inspired by CAD frameworks, linear forms and graphic lines intersecting with softly rounded signage, branding rendered in both bracket logo and uncondensed type, the company explained in a press release.
In a colour palette of monochrome grey and white with neon orange licks, the store also offers locals an expansive selection of ACW clothing, accessories and exclusive product.
In another Korea exclusive, artist and designer, Lee Kwang-ho, has been commissioned to create a series of bespoke pieces for the Hyundai store, reimagining everyday objects with a playful approach and juxtaposing traditional handcrafts with 3D printing techniques.
The retail opening comes on the back of ACW's partnering with Korean fashion distributor Modern Works in 2025.
Following the debut of A Cold Wall's Hyundai site, the London-founded ACW and Modern Works will launch a second Seoul store-in-store this March in Lotte Department Store, Jamsil, continuing the brand’s expansion in Korea.
