Oberalp, the distributor for Under Armour in Italy since 2025, has now been named the exclusive distributor of the American sportswear brand in Switzerland, where the Bolzano-based group can rely on an established distribution network.
The decision comes on the back of Under Armour Italy's strong growth over the past seven years, during which the company has entered 1,200 doors nationally, opened 17 monobrand stores, and seen its Italian business grow from 8 to 50 million euros.
"We are internationally recognized for applying our expertise as a house of sports brands to other players in the sector. As a group, we have built a reputation as a long-term partner, offering our know-how in communication, sales, marketing, and brand building for our eight international sports brands for which we manage exclusive distribution," explained Michele Rossi, general manager, distributed brands at Oberalp.
"In particular, the collaboration with Under Armour in Italy has confirmed Oberalp's ability to enhance and elevate the presence and potential of global brands, and we look forward to beginning this new adventure in Switzerland with the same level of enthusiasm and ambition."
Founded in 1981, Oberalp today counts on 1,200 employees worldwide and owns the mountain sports brands Salewa, Dynafit, Pomoca, Wild Country, Evolv, and Lamunt.
