Paris luxury marque Yves Salomon has opened a brand new architecturally influenced shop-in-shop in a prominent setting within Harrods.
The new boutique is located on the first floor of Harrods, London’s most famous department store, renowned for setting trends and anticipating the zeitgeist.
Like the Yves Salomon HQ in Paris, which includes a museum worthy collection of mid-century modern French furniture and design, the new store in an artful expression of melodious luxury.
Two emblematic armchairs by the Italian design maestro Gio Ponti, manufactured by Casa Giardino, create an exclusive atmosphere. These exceptional pieces, dating from 1949, have been revisited for the occasion with an exclusive fabric from Pierre Frey.
“It’s an important step in the house's expansion, offering a unique experience to international and local customers alike,” Yves Salomon said in a release.
Designed to resemble a gallery, the 60-square-metre space features Yves Salomon’s key color range – taupe, beige, browns and olive. Seen in the interior design, a combination of natural wood, soft green carpeting, the mineral textures of Milanese terrazzo and the subdued glow of brass. The walls are also clad in Pierre Frey fabrics, a clever canvas for Yves Salomon wardrobe pieces, presented here like works of art. This new shop-in-shop retails womenswear only, though Yves Salomon also has a corner on the menswear floor of Harrods and a third point of sale on the Advanced Contemporary space on the fourth floor.
Founded in 1920, Yves Salomon is one of the historic Parisian luxury brands, noted for its uber high quality. Originally a furrier, Yves Salomon has grown into a full lifestyle brand in the past decade with women’s luxury pret-a-porter, menswear, snazzy skiwear and footwear.
In recent years, Harrods has emphasized more exclusive collaborations and immersive design, setting new standards for contemporary luxury, an area which is Yves Salomon’s sweet spot.
In a word, this boutique is a fresh on take French elegance, the art of living, and top-of-the-range craftsmanship in central London.
Family-owned Yves Salomon had revenues of some €50 million in 2025, avoiding a drop in sales even at a tricky moment for fashion and luxe internationally.
