Manchester’s Inc Retail has added a sixth business to its portfolio as it launches King Street Grooming, “the region’s first, all-in-one grooming venue encompassing traditional barbering and male-only face & body treatments”.
The location will open on Manchester’s King Street in January and will join other businesses the group owns such as leathergoods label Knomo London and kidswear brand Tootsa as a key focus for growth.
The company said the new brand will offer an “unrivalled grooming experience, consisting of a barbers on the ground floor, and treatment rooms for a variety of male grooming and wellness therapies, on the first floor. Typically, when men look for treatments on the high street, the only options are beauty salons, which do not target or make men feel totally comfortable in the same way we will with King Street Grooming”.
Brand MD Gareth Rowan-Dylan said: “This unique male experience will bridge a gap that’s been missing in the market, which will allow men to be pampered in a masculine and comforting environment.”
It’s an important move for the parent company as it’s the firm’s first entry into in grooming and wellness.

The location is built around a dark materials palette, including classic references such as feature wall shelving and fluted glass screens. This, paired with modern material accents and lighting features, “gives the space an edge and an unmistakably cool identity”, the company said.
Ben Perman, Creative Director of Inc Retail, added: “King Street Grooming aligns perfectly with Inc Retail’s strategy for focusing on wellness across our brands and for our consumers. Our focus was to create a brand and a space that celebrates traditional barber shops, whilst adding our own creative identity with contemporary features throughout. Our design ensures that wellness is at the heart of the King Street Grooming experience.”
