It will open three stores annually and will create “unique in-store experiences”, we’re told.

Aldrich Group also operates multibrand stores under the Robert Goddard name and linking up with the firm reflects Ted Baker’s strategy of minimising capital outlay as it grows its presence in physical spaces and continue sits recovery.

Ted Baker’s Group Commercial and Business Development Director Helen Costello said: “Their experience in operating designer stores means that they are particularly well placed to fully realise the growth opportunity in stores. This partnership is consistent with our capital light approach to growth and further supports our global lifestyle brand.”

Meanwhile Aldrich’s CEO Oliver Tookman said the firm will ensure the “customer transition between own brand and franchise stores is entirely seamless” and added that the agreement is “a significant opportunity for Ted Baker to increase its customer touchpoints across the UK, by partnering with an experienced, premium fashion retailer, enabling the brand to focus on their product innovation, e-commerce and international growth”.
