Beauty and wellbeing brand Rituals is to open a store at the Sovereign Centros-operated mall Merry Hill in the Midlands. Also taking space in the centre is design-led homewares retailer Kenji.

The pair will occupy over 6,850 sq ft of retail space when they open later this year.

In a process being repeated in malls UK-wide, Rituals has taken a 2,022 sq ft unit made vacant by an upsizing. It was formerly occupied by Phase Eight on the Upper Mall. That store is relocating into a larger unit covering 6,000 sq ft with fellow TFG-owned womenswear brand Hobbs.

For Rituals, the store will offer a wide assortment of bath and body, home items, gift sets, from the best-selling The Ritual of Sakura collection, home items and gift sets, plus new launches. Like all of its UK and Ireland stores, it will also carry many refillable products.

Meanwhile Kenji Merry Hill will join its nine other locations across the UK, with the emerging brand set to open next to Schuh on the Lower Mall, and close to the recently opened stores for Nike Unite and Schuh Kids.

The 4,833 sq ft space will continue to infuse Asian culture with a wide range of “Eastern-inspired" products including homeware, stationery, gifts, and its signature character-based plush collections. Inspired by the upcoming Kenjiland game and app, the store will also have a big tech element with installations and interactive moments.
