Formalwear specialist Suit Direct has become the latest company to react to consumers seeking budget options with the launch of a “new affordable range”.

With prices starting at £89 for a suit, the new tailoring range is called Everyday Occasions and launches on Friday.
The Baird-owned retailer said the value has been produced “without compromising great quality or service”.
It’s the first own-brand range from the retailer that’s better known for stocking labels such as Ted Baker and Marc Darcy, as well as carrying Baird’s brands such as Limehaus, Antique Rogue and Racing Green.
As mentioned, prices start below £90 for matching jackets and trousers that are available in four core colours: black, charcoal, navy or blue. Customers can complete their look with a classic shirt and tie for total of £119.
The company said the suits are “hard-wearing” with “timeless” cuts and can act as a “staple suit for multiple occasions”.
The range will be accompanied by a complementary style and fitting service across all of its stores nationwide.
Group trading director Matthew Saunders said a suit is a “non-negotiable wardrobe staple, so it’s important that we offer a range for every budget. We have long been believers that a suit is an investment that can be worn many ways, so we’re glad to launch Everyday Occasions. A classic, versatile range that can be worn on numerous occasions, from weddings, proms, races or for work”.
