In September 2025 three branches of Shoeline had filed for bankruptcy.

As a result of the current failure, eight branches across the Netherlands will have to close their doors. About 65 employees, both working in-stores as well as at the Kaatsheuvel-based headquarters, will lose their jobs because of the bankruptcy, reports local newspaper BN De Stem.

However, the newspaper writes that multiple parties have already contacted Floor Wertenbroek, who acts as the court administrator in this case, with regards to a possible relaunch.

Shoeline was founded in 1998 and opened its first store in the city of Den Bosch. Additional stores followed and in 2009 the chain launched an online shop. Shoeline operates physical stores in Eindhoven, Breda, Utrecht, Maastricht, Rotterdam, The Hague and Tilburg. The retailer offers footwear and accessories for men and women. Available brands include Birkenstock, Bjorn Borg, Converse, Dr. Martens and Lacoste amongst others.
