The creative director of Leonard will preside over the jury of the sixth edition of the PV Awards in September, a prize that honors Première Vision exhibitors.

The Chinese designer took over as creative lead at Leonard in January while still continuing to produce her own line, which she has been showing during the Paris Couture Fashion Week since 2011. That same year, the graduate of the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs won the first Andam award. Her reputation rests on work that uses structures and volumes that lend her designs unique movement.

"This modern and innovative fashion vision was destined to bring the young designer and Première Vision together," said the trade fair organizer in a statement. "The show, as a supporter of young fashion designers and creative innovation, welcomes the chance to collaborate with a young designer who represents the fashion of today, both global and exacting."

Prior to Yiqing Yin, the PV Awards jury was chaired successively by Véronique Nichanian (Hermès), Ennio Capasa (Costume National), Roland Mouret, Felipe Oliveira Baptista (Lacoste) and last year, Alessandro Sartori (Berluti).

The next PV Awards will be presented during the trade fair edition from September 16 to 18 at the Villepinte exhibition grounds near Paris. The jury comprises Vladimiro Baldin (director of product development and style coordination at Diesel), Francamaria Bartolucci (head of product development at Vivienne Westwood), Edward Crutchley (Creative consultant, textiles Louis Vuitton Menswear) and Clare Johnston (head of the textile program at the Royal College of Art).

The jury will also include Japanese designer Kenta Matsushige, winner of the Première Vision grand prize at the International Hyères Festival 2025, South Korean journalist Jieun Rhee from Elle magazine and, of course, Première Vision's fashion director Pascaline Wilhelm.
