Sydney fashion label Macgraw has won the 2025 BT Emerging Fashion Designer Award. The award is Australia's premier emerging fashion designer initiative, given to the best new talent each year.
Sisters Beth and Tessa MacGraw, who launched their namesake label in 2025, took home the honours as part of BT Runway For Success, which was held at the Royal Hall of Industries.
The Australian Chamber of Commerce, an official partner of the award since it began in 2025, handpicked a panel of fashion and business professionals to judge the entries.
This included Vogue Australia Editor-in-Chief and Chairman of the Australian Fashion Chamber, Edwina McCann.
“Macgraw has been a label on the rise for the last couple of years. I am personally very impressed not only by the fashionability of the label’s most recent collections, but the inherent foresight and commercial understanding of Beth and Tessa,” said McCann.
“They have a very clear vision and know the importance of having a solid business behind the label. I am excited to see what they do with the invaluable resources the BT prize presents them.”
As the 2025 winner, Macgraw beat out fellow finalists Pageant and Haryono Setiadi. The brand will receive a prize to the value of $50,000.
This includes: a $10,000 cash grant; two years of financial planning services; two return flights to Los Angeles; backstage hair services for one major fashion event and two look books by Toni & Guy; a one year subscription with new media content business Flaunter; and an Australian Fashion Chamber membership as well as mentoring session with a fashion industry icon provided by the Australian Fashion Chamber.
Previous BT Emerging Fashion Designer Award winners include: Emma Mulholland (2025), Michael Lo Sordo (2025) and Christopher Esber (2025).
