Dean Clough, Halifax’s 22-acre mill complex that operates as a business and leisure destination in Halifax, has a new arrival. Bridal retailer Wed4Less has agreed to take over the 4,209 sq ft Axminster Mill building on a 10-year lease.

It becomes the sixth store for the 12-year-old company, joining Stockport, Burton upon Trent, Newcastle, West Bromwich and Rotherham in “offering the largest choice of affordable wedding dresses in any size”.
Customers can visit without an appointment, seven days a week, “to try on dresses in their own size and take away the same day”. It also offers the “UK’s largest collection of bridesmaid dresses”, in all sizes with over 300 colour choices.
Beth Sykes, Manager at Wed4Less, said: “With its prominent position within Dean Clough, Axminster Mill features an elevated terrace, double height entry doors and impressive catwalk style central staircase allowing us to perfectly showcase our dresses over three floors.”
Jeremy Hall, Chairman and Managing Director at Dean Clough, added: “[Wed4Less is] a perfect fit for our visitor proposition and what better building to showcase for the most special occasion.
“Dean Clough has a fantastic wedding venue in the Arches, together with a wonderful selection of shops and services for special occasions. These range from hair and beauty salons, aesthetic practitioner, dress designers and a jeweller, to florists, gift shops, a hotel and a great mix of hospitality venues.”
Hall added that the complex is now home to around 150 businesses employing over 3,000 people, “enjoying an exciting period of development and evolution with a series of exciting new deals.”
In the last 18 months, new leases have been secured with occupiers on more than 140,000 sq ft of space with a further 110,000 sq ft of work, office and leisure space in discussion or under offer.
