Parisian fashion house Hermès is set to open on Friday a new store in the lively coastal metropolis of Tianjin in the North of China, expanding its presence in the region.

Marking the 28th Hermès store in mainland China, this latest addition underscores the brand’s “commitment and cherished history with the region.” Hermès first opened a store in Tianjin in 2011, but shuttered four years after it opened.
The exterior of the store showcases a locally crafted façade that features a gradient of colorful glazed ceramic bricks, contrasted by floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Upon entering, the open floor plan begins with a display of women's silks at the main entrance, followed to the right by an assortment of fashion jewelry, perfumes, and beauty products.
Visitors then pass through the maison’s collection to reach women’s universe and the jewellery and watches alcove. At the heart of the store lies the equestrian and leather collections, followed by the men's universe, featuring a selection of shoes, accessories, and silks.
Guests will equally be greeted by a series of rectangular salons adorned with iconic Grecques lighting and 'Faubourg' mosaics. These salons are complemented by bespoke carpets, each showcasing distinctive characteristics that enhance the ambiance of each section. Illuminating the store is a curved lighting cove embedded in the ceiling.
The color palette ranges from deep reds to blues, and is further enriched by custom furniture and inviting lounges. Across the store, visitors will encounter a carefully curated collection of 21 artworks, including contemporary photography from the Hermès collection, etchings and illustrations from Émile Hermès' personal collection, and carré prints.
Last month, the luxury brand also expanded in the United States with the opening of a store in Aspen, Colorado, bringing its US total to 34 locations.
