The outlets sector has been a bright spot in an often-turbulent fashion retail market in recent years and Wembley Park’s London Designer Outlet says it’s been outperforming even its successful peer group.

LDO

The centre cited new data from CACI confirming its “record-breaking revenue performance, as it continues to outperform the outlet centre average across the UK”.

CACI said LDO has beaten other outlet centres on turnover growth for a record-breaking month-on-month period of five months running from before Christmas to after Easter.

The news came as LDO also announced it has signed Boss to open at the centre, adding to the line-up of premium labels there.

The German brand will join labels such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike and Converse at LDO with it taking 2,700 sq ft on the first floor near to Levi’s, Guess and Replay Jeans.

Matt Slade, Retail Director of developer Quintain, said: “As LDO officially turns 10 today, it’s pleasing to see not only that it is consistently setting new revenue records but also that major brands, like Boss, want to be here. This follows the news in the summer that Guess, Levi’s, The North Face and Lindt had all invested in upsizing their stores and Timberland had joined the centre.”
