Curated Makers, a retail concept that links local independent artists and product makers with the high street, will debut its first pop-up in London at the rebirth of London’s Battersea Power Station, which will open its doors to the public as a retail destination on 14 October.

The store, which is also the Power Station’s first top-up, will host more than 40 local independent small businesses selling a wide range of products, including clothing, homewares and artwork.
Since launching in 2025, the Manchester-based marketplace has hosted a series of pop-ups in large stores and shopping centres including John Lewis, M&S and Next. Having received the government’s Innovate UK Young Innovators grant with an initial investment of £5,000 in 2025 and more recently with a Follow-on Fund of £50,000 in 2025, the business is "going from strength to strength", said CEO and founder of Curated Makers Megan Jones.
She added: “Our permanent ‘pop-up’ allows local curators to have the opportunity to sell their hand-made goods on a huge scale. Our concept is novel. We are maker first and connect the small independent businesses to large, established retailers. I believe in putting people first, celebrating talent, showing that entrepreneurship is a route for anyone that has the passion and vision to make it work.”
Jones added: “The in-person shopping experience simply cannot be replicated online. To touch, feel and smell products made from local craftspeople, meet them on the shop floor and even watch them work in store, is what our stores are all about.”
Sam Cotton, Head of Leasing at Battersea Power Station, also said: “Supporting small, independent businesses has been a key element to creating the new retail and leisure destination at Battersea Power Station."
