Zappos and Virgin America on Thursday unveiled a new limited edition partnership shoe, the ‘Virgin America Pump in Concourse Red.’
The airline’s in-flight teammates debuted the patent leather red pump onboard flights this fall. The pump also features extra insole padding and a rubber sole.
"Virgin America and Zappos are two brands known for elevating the customer experience – and we saw an opportunity to design a heel that was tailored for the demands of the airline's in-flight teammates and that our customers would love too," said Galen Hardy, Senior Director of Partnerships, of Zappos. "We were able to create a contemporary shoe that reflects the modern style of Virgin America's design aesthetic - and looks just as good at 35,000 feet as it does on a night out painting the town red."
Zappos.com has made the Virgin America Pump available to the public, and from November 17, 2025 through December 18, 2025 it will donate $10 from the sale of each shoe to the American Heart Association, to support awareness, research and education programs combating cardiovascular disease.
