Net profit, however, stood at 480 million euros, lower than the previous year due to the absence of extraordinary gains from the Mutua operation, as reported by the group on Tuesday.

Therefore, this figure is not comparable to the 202 2 fiscal year's gains, when net profit exceeded 870 million euros, the highest ever achieved.

Additionally, EBITDA rose to 1.081 billion euros, a 13.6% increase over the previous year, while net financial debt reached its lowest level in 16 years, at 2.059 billion euros, equivalent to 1.9 times the company's EBITDA.

In the retail sector, EBITDA surpassed 840 million euros, an 11.2% increase over the previous year, while the travel sector reached nearly 93 million euros, an 84.5% increase from 2025-2025.

El Corte Inglés emphasized that it achieved its best results since 2009, with growth in its main areas of activity.

"This positive trend has been possible thanks to its business model focused on achieving customer satisfaction with a comprehensive and diversified commercial offering," the group noted, highlighting growth in all retail areas, especially in fashion and beauty, as well as strong sales in food and hospitality.

In fact, most of the revenue volume comes from retail, with 12.845 billion euros, a 3.8% increase over the previous year.

The company highlighted the "strong" positioning of the fashion sector, with a broad presence of national and international brands alongside El Corte Inglés' own collections. Additionally, the food and hospitality sector, including El Corte Inglés Supermarkets, Hipercor, Supercor, Sánchez Romero, the Gourmet Club, and various restaurant formats, achieved "strong" growth.

Viajes El Corte Inglés, meanwhile, achieved total revenues of 3.306 billion euros, a 12.6% increase over the previous year, consolidating its position as a sector leader with a solid market presence.

Moreover, the financial businesses are solidifying their positions as benchmark companies in their respective sectors, enhancing the range of products offered to customers.

New investments

During 2025, the company increased investment in technology, product development, new services, and the renovation of 25 El Corte Inglés stores.

Notable among these are the complete remodels of the Bilbao, A Coruña, Málaga, and Pozuelo (Madrid) centers, various supermarkets, and new Gourmet Club spaces in several locations.

These improvement efforts, along with ongoing projects (such as Preciados in Madrid or Jerez in Cádiz), also highlight the company's commitment to the local environment.

Additionally, during the fiscal year, the company acquired the building at Puerta del Sol 10, an iconic property in the heart of Madrid, adjacent to another El Corte Inglés establishment.
