The Crown Estate — landlord of Regent Street and the adjacent St James’s area of London — continues to be one of the most successful UK landlords with its destination neighbourhoods in high demand. And this week it announced five major retail deals.

As well as the opening of a new Paul&Shark flagship (which we’ve covered separately), stores have been opened or will be opened by Bimba Y Lola, Hoff, Ugg, and Luxe Dressing.
Including Paul&Shark, the lettings cover more than 10,000 sq ft of new retail space.
Spanish women’s fashion brand Bimba Y Lola has just opened a new 4,000 sq ft store at 211-213 Regent Street, which it claimed will be “the brand’s most active flagship globally”.
As well as curated collections and a brand showroom, the space will include “a programme of events”. The company’s CEO called Regent Street “one of the most relevant fashion showcases” in the world.

Meanwhile designer trainer/sneaker label Hoff is opening its UK flagship store at 205 Regent Street as it makes its debut on British shores. The shop is expected to open in October.
Also in footwear, Ugg has left its small flagship that was tucked away behind Regent Street on Glasshouse Street for a larger 2,600 sq ft at 78 Regent Street. That should boost its visibility among the huge number of shoppers the street attracts every year.
And an “innovative” new pop-up has also recently opened its doors. Luxe Dressing, the only luxury consignment shopping experience in Mayfair and the West End, recently started welcoming shoppers at 4 Conduit Street.
The brand has taken 1,550 sq ft of space across two floors for an extended pop-up period with an initial tenure of six months.
Leanne Catterall, Customer Partnership Director, Lifestyle at the landlord, said: “Our aim is to create a day-to-night destination with a seamless, thriving eco-system of businesses that support one another. This latest announcement marks another step in our long-term strategy to keep the West End exciting, welcoming, accessible and inclusive.”
